Different types of Bipolar Disorder?

Bipolar I disorder: This is the most disruptive and severe form of the syndrome. Each phase of symptoms is very intense, so the patient is constantly either in a exaggerated manic mood, or feels completely depressed. Bipolar I disorder complete disrupts the day-to-day activities of the patient, and requires professional treatment and care on a lifelong basis.
Bipolar II disorder: This type has a milder manic phase (hypomania), making it difficult to diagnose. The depressive phase can be intense, and many women are misdiagnosed with clinical depression. Women are more likely to suffer from bipolar II disorder than men.
Cyclothymia is very mild type of bipolar disorder, and some women don’t even realize they are bipolar. Both the manic and depressive phases are low in intensity, making them appear like normal mood swings. However, there is always the risk of that the condition grows worse.
